Veerabhadra
The expectation is nicely building up to a climax. After all, Veerabhadra is a very vital film for Balakrishna. The man, who is now anointed as the 'king of the masses', after trying out action in films like Allari Pidugu and Vijayendra Varma, is taking a different route in Veerabhadra.
The film with the tagline -Puncnki Punch, Munchki Munch --- will offer just that. It is expected to a fun-filled emotional drama. In other words, it will be a light-hearted entertainer with dollops of mass masala. With two heroines, Sada and Tanushree Dutta (a former beauty queen, no less), there is no dearth of glamour too. For Sada, this is a good opportunity to cement her place in the industry.
Balakrishna, who is in urgent need of a hit, plays the role of Muralikrishna, a normal man, but someone whom you cannot rub on the wrong side.
Director A S Ravi Kumar Chowdary says there are many aspects to Balakrishna's character. He says Balakrishna has a comedy shade, which has come out very well.
The director assures complete entertainment. 'The fans as well as the lay viewers will have nothing to complain,' he says.
Producer Ambika Krishna also echoes these views. He says the director has given what the audience would want.
This big budget movie has all the ingredients that 'you and I' will want, he adds. 'The film will be liked by ladies and family crowds too.'
Mani Sharma songs are already a rage in the State. The songs have also added to the expectation on the movie.
With the right amount of publicity and the promise of a gritty masala entertainer, Veerabhadra has the makings of a blockbuster.
