Producer gets 7 years jail for raping actress

A day never passes without injustice to women even if they are mere children as more and more rape and violence cases are reported. The Mumbai High Court has however sentenced producer Mukesh Mishra to seven years imprisonment and five thousand rupees fine for raping an actress.
The shocking incident happened on 12.12.2012 when Mishra who was producing the popular serial 'Veera' asked the 31 year old actress to come to Jogeshwari Station where he told her a company vehicle would pick her up. However when she arrived there was no van but Mishra came there by bike and asked her to go with him. When the duo arrived on the sets there was no one except a sweeper and when she went into the dressing room the producer had gone after her and raped her. He had threatened to kill her child and also shame her in public if she spoke about the incident.
The actress's husband is a journalist and when she reluctantly told him he filed a case and the judgement has come after seven years.
