Chennai: The Delhi High Court has lifted the ban on the release of the film “Veera Dheera Sooran – Part 2”.
Directed by Arun Kumar and starring Vikram, the movie was initially scheduled for release on March 27. The film was financed by P4U through HR Pictures, and its OTT rights were sold to P4U.
However, P4U filed a case in the Delhi High Court, arguing that the predetermined release date created issues in selling the OTT rights. The court initially imposed a temporary ban on the movie’s release until March 27 at 10:30 AM. Later, the ban was extended for four weeks, with the production company ordered to deposit ?7 crore as security.
Following negotiations between the production company and P4U, a mutual agreement was reached. The Delhi High Court accepted their settlement and instructed both parties to formalize it in writing by the evening. Consequently, the court revoked the ban, allowing the film’s release.
