'Rajathandhiram II' directed by Senthil Veerasamy a former associate of Gautham Vasudev Menon, retains the lead cast of Veera Bahu, Ajay Prasath and Darbuka Siva. The bigger surprise is that Isaignani Ilaiyaraja has joined this young team to provide music for the film. The film is being produced by Gautham and Senthil. The makers have released the first six minutes of the film as a novel promotional idea instead of trailer which was released earlier this week.
The six minute portion starts with the warning that this is not a trailer making us ready for a linear flow of events unlike a trailer where the interesting and important portions of a film are cut, edited and present to create an overall impression about the film.
The first installment ended where the three lead actors decide to surrender to the police and get imprisoned. The sequel starts with events happening after they have spent a year in jail. The first six minute video serves as an introduction of the plot giving these details through conversation between the character and they get another heist assignment, which they decide to take up and it's time for them to get out of the bars.
The performance of the three lead actors is impressive. Especially we can be assured that Darbuka Siva will provide phenomenal comical relief as he did in Rajathandhiram'. However the huge surprise is the pulsating music that brilliantly gives a prelude to a smart thriller and we could not stop amazing the septuagenarian composer could give such a trendy and youthful play of instruments.
In short, the six minute video definitely makes us crave for the speedy release of the film and that way the unique idea of the makers of Rajathandhiram II' has been highly effective too.
