The ever charming actor Madhavan was recently seen in his directorial debut Rocketry: Nambi Effect. While his film is gaining acclaim and accolades, his son Vedaant is on a medal-winning spree in his passion. Vedaant Madhavan is a swift swimmer who has already won several medals for India.
The 16-year-old had won a bronze medal at the Latvia Open in March 2021, clinched seven medals at the Junior National Aquatic Championships 2021 and bagged silver and gold medals at The Danish open in Copenhagen in April 2022. Now, the latest is that Vedaant has rewritten the National Junior Record for the 1500m freestyle swimming.
Vedaant clocked 16:01.73, at the Junior National Aquatic Championships 2022, to erase his state-mate Advait Page's 2017 record of 16:06.43 seconds and took home a gold medal. Sharing a video clip from the event, the proud father Madhavan wrote, “Never say never. National Junior Record for 1500m freestyle broken.”
