Director Balaji Sakthivel's latest film, Vazhakku Enn 18/9 which appeared at the South Asian Film Festival held at Paris has been awarded the Best Film award by the jury. The team, along with the director Balaji Sakthivel and producer N.Lingusamy of Thiruppathi brothers were at the event to receive their awards.

Called the "Festival du Film d'Asie du Sud Transgressif", the event identifies achievement in film making across South Asia, with India being one of the countries. The audience at the screening of the film were immensely impressed with Vazhakku Enn and it was justly awarded the grand prize. The news has come as yet another achievement for Thiruppathi Brothers who are enjoying their time in Kollywood now. Popular celebrities from across the industry have come together and congratulated the team for their efforts and have posted on social media sites.
