Vishnu Manchu's previous film Saleem was a box office dud.Determined to bounce back, Vishnu produced Vasthadu Naa Raju on his own 24 Frames Factory banner with Bollywood director Hemanth Madhukar. The team declared that VNR is a laugh riot and sure to outdo Dee in comedy.

Performances
Vishnu has certainly learnt from the mistakes of Saleem and looks uber cool in his new slim sportsman avatar. His comic timing is an asset to the film.He danced moving every bone in his body to all the mass beats.Taapsee however is depressive and needs to up her acting skills. There are scenes where she failed to potray emotions well and it takes away the seriousness of the scene.Bramhy delivered an all time best performance as old bachelor Rajesh who failed in love.Tanikella Bharani and Ajay have short roles and did justice to their charecters.Prakash Raj demonstrated his mettle in this film as the champion of villainism.Shiyaji Shinde is fine but his north Indian accent smacked Telugu is sure to put you off.Shivareddy,Satya are convincing in their acts.
Clap Worthy moments
Vishnu's lengthy dialogue on greatness of Telugu people, culture and achievers drew huge applause from audience.
Bramhanandam's flash back episode recalling his love failure makes one choke with laughter.
The music from the song 'Anjali Anjali Anjali' from Maniratnam's 'Anjali' used on Bramhanandam breaks you into splits.
Satya going to pub with Ajay wearing a Burqa is hilarious.
Vishnu's reason for not visiting temples brings a smile on the faces of the audience.
Avoidable moments
Visual effects look evidently artificial and could have been better.
Taapsee's costumes are not upto the mark.
Climax could have been more comical.
Remarks
The movie was shot completely on red camera and sheds the apprehensions of film makers on the quality of the visuals. The songs are melodious and earsoothing. ' Bade Miya', 'Kalagane Vela' are fresh and make this album worth buying a CD. The track 'Hello Pilla Honeymoon Ki Veldham' shot in Venice on Vishnu, Prakashraj and Taapsee is well choreographed. The locations of Venice, Vienna are visual splendour. The cinematography is not outstanding.Screenplay and narration are praise worthy. The story is slightly different and not easily predictable. The fight sequences are impressive.Bramhanandam comedy with Vishnu is fresh and well treated.Vishnu surely seems to have put in his sweat and blood into this film and is seen honestly trying to entertain the audience in every frame. Unlike many existing heroes, he has no qualms about being beaten by the comedian or being shot by the villain. It is surely a comeback film for the actor.
Verdict
Good music, enjoyable comedy and decent performances make this film worth your money at theatres this weekend.
