Vasool Raja MBBS
That actor Kamal Haasan is acting in the remake of Hindi blockbuster Munnabhai MBBS is well known. The movie is being made at full throttle and Charan, who is wielding the megaphone, is certain that the project titled Vasool Raja MBBS would be completed soon and will be ready for release as planned on 15 August. The movie is being shot at a huge set erected in Chennai.
A scintillating performer, who does any role with aplomb, Kamal has a special liking for comedy. His love for humorous films and its success at the box-office is well known. After a serious portrayal in Virumaandi, he is now playing a humorous role. He dons the role enacted by Sanjay Dutt in the original version.
It is also said that Kamal has convinced veteran director K Balachander to play the role of his father in the movie.
After a long gap, actor Prabhu joins hands with Kamal for the film. The duo had combined to render a hit Vettri Vizha about a decade ago.
Acting opposite Kamal is Sneha. She had earlier acted in a Kamal movie Pammal K Sambandham, where she was cast opposite Abbas.
Produced by Gemini Film Circuits, the movie has Crazy Mohan handling the screenplay and dialogues. Crazy Mohan shares a good rapport with Kamal Haasan and has worked in some of his earlier movies including Aboorva Sahodharagal, Sathi Leelavathy, Avvai Shanmugi, Michael Madhana Kamarajan, Indiran Chandran, Kadhala Kadhala and Panchatantram. They have all been laugh-riots.
Asked about directing Kamal Haasan, Charan said, 'it is a great honour to direct Kamal. We both have been trained by veteran director Balachander and I hope it would a nice experience working with him'.
Apart from Prabhu and Kamal Haasan, Prakash Raj also plays an important role. So enthused with his role in the movie, Prakash Raj is said to have given up a couple of Telugu projects to work in Vasool Raja.
Kakka Radhakrishnan, M S Baskar, 'Scissor' Manohar are in the cast. Bharadwaj is scoring music for the film.
