‘Jailer’ actor Vasanth Ravi makes a startling revelation about his new film’s direct TV release!

Prolific actor Vasanth Ravi impressed the fans earlier by playing Superstar Rajinikanth’s son in ‘Jailer’. He made a startling revelation about one of his upcoming movies, ‘Pon Ondru Kanden’, on social media yesterday. When the makers announced a direct OTT release, the actor revealed that he wasn’t informed about it.

‘Pon Ondru Kanden’ is a movie starring Vasanth Ravi, Ashok Selvan and Aishwarya Lekshmi, directed by Priya V with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Jio Studios bankrolled this film. Recently, the producers announced that this rom-com flick will skip theatrical release and hit the small screens directly on the Colors Tamil channel. A promo was even released.

Vasanth Ravi took to X and said that he, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Yuvan or Priya V weren’t informed about the same. This is doing rounds on the internet. He wrote: “Shocking !! Is this even True ?? Especially from a reputated and leading production house like @jiostudios

Extremely painful and disheartening to see the promo of #PonOndruKanden and announcement of World Satellite Premiere without any communication to @AshokSelvan, #Aishwaryalekshmi, @thisisysr sir, @directorpriya_v mam or anyone associated with the film !!  We have worked really hard for this film. The whole team of #PonOndruKanden is totally unaware and not being informed about this at all !! Thank you @jiostudios for being so kind, your respect to the team of  #PonOndruKanden has only increased multiple times for keeping us posted about it only through @X !! 

P.S. A Creator or Artists does not have a say in your commercial decision  aspects for his or her Artistic Work once it is given to the Producer, but atleast they deserve respect to be informed about it through you and not from online portals such as @X, @instagram etc…” (sic)
