Suspicious death case filed after Vasan eye care founder passes away!

AM Arun from Trichy, the founder of the popular Vasan Eye Care, passed away in Chennai yesterday. He was 51. Chennai police have registered a case of suspicious death after his relatives raised doubt in his death.

A M Arun passed away earlier yesterday allegedly due to cardiac arrest. As per police reports, Arun had a chest pain and was taken to hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. Following his death, his body was sent to the Omandurar Multispecialty Hospital for autopsy.

After the postmortem, Arun's body was handed over to his relatives. Police officials have reported that several relatives and friends of Arun raised suspicion over the cause of his death, claiming that it might be a suicide, and Teynampet police have registered a case of suspicious death under section 174 of CrPC and are conducting investigations. However, the preliminary verbal postmortem report from the doctor says there are no traces of suicide or murder and it's a natural death.
