Varun Tej and Sai Pallavi's film in the direction of Shekar Kammula is titled as Fida. Produced by Dil Raju, it was launched today in Nizamabad's Banswada. The clap was given by Dil Raju and Sai Pallavi, while Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, the Agriculture Minister of Telangana, switched the camera on.
Shekar Kammula said, "This one is a beautiful love story. I haven't done a full-fledged love story after Anand and Godavari. Both Sai Pallavi and Varun Tej are talented actors. They are looking great. I am excited to be working with Dil Raju for the first time".
Naga Babu said, "I am very happy that Varun Tej is doing this movie. Dil Raju is someone very passionate about movies. Kammula is known for high-brow, feel good movies".
Dil Raju said, "Kammula had been working on the script for more than a year. When he narrated to me the story, I was very excited. I understood the potential of Varun Tej after watching Kanche. Sai Pallavi became a rage after Premam (Malayalam). This is the story of a US-bred guy and a Telangana girl. This will be a sensational film. This will be as big as Dil, Arya and Kottha Bangaru Lokam in our banner. From today onwards, we will shoot for 40 days here. The next schedule will be in America".
Sai Pallavi expressed her happiness to be doing her first film with a "visionary team".
Music is by Shakthi Kanth. Cinematography is by Vijay Kumar. Editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh.
