'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' (previously known as 'Valmiki') was on fire on Friday.  For a medium-range movie, it did better than expected.

Early box-office reports say that the gangster comedy collected a distributor share of Rs 5.50 Cr in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana put together.  "It seems the trailer and Varun Tej's character have done magic big-time.  Also, the Harish Shankar Midas Touch is going down well with the mass audience," a source says, adding that tampering the original ('Jigarthanda') has definitely proved to be rewarding.  

The 'Elluvoche Godaramma' remix, shot on the Mega hero and Pooja Hegde, has been received with gusto by the audience.  

Now that 'GG' has registered the best opening in Varun Tej's career, let us see if it can become a big hit.  The film has a lot to catch up in the US, where the Premiers were sub-par.
