Varun Dhawan to star in Indian spin off of Russo Brothers' 'Citadel'

Actress Priyanka Chopra will soon be seen alongside Richard Madden in the Amazon Prime show 'Citadel'. Directed by Russo Brothers, who are known for their work in Marvel Cinematic Universe, the show will be a sci-fi drama and the latest buzz suggests that actor Varun Dhawan will star in an Indian spin off of the same.
Sharing a picture of Varun on their Instagram outlet, Russos wrote, “We are thrilled to officially announce that we will be bringing you the Indian installment of the Citadel universe. The local Original spy series will start filming in January 2023.
Varun himself is also super excited to be a part of this franchise. He said in a statement, Citadel is an exceptionally ambitious and exciting franchise, and to be part of this magnificent universe, conceptualised by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO and Jennifer Salke, is a landmark moment in my career. I have been a big fan of their work and I am beyond thrilled to be a part of this project, and can’t wait to start shooting it. The storyline of the Indian Citadel chapter is fantastic, and when you have creators like Raj & DK on board, one can be certain that a spectacle is in the making.”
Apart from this, Varun Dhawan will also be seen in 'Bawaal' alongside Janhvi Kapoor.
