Varun Dhawan has been working in Arunachal Pradesh for quite some time on his film 'Bhediya'. The horror comedy also stars Kriti Sanon in the leading role. Varun has Sriram Raghvan's 'Ekkis' lined up for filming right after 'Bhediya'. 'Ekkis' will tell the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal who was awarded the highest Indian military decoration, Param Vir Chakra. Arun was just 21 years old when he made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation and hence the film is titled 'Ekkis'.

In an conversation with Bollywood Hungama, producer Dinesh Vijan sheded some light on the project. "Ekkis is the most ambitious project attempted by Maddock to date," says Vijan. "It requires rigorous prep that has already begun. Varun himself will commence prep for two and half months once he is done with Bhediya and other commitments. Sriram Raghavan is the captain of this grand ship, there’s a lot he wants to achieve here. Ekkis should go on floors till the end of the third quarter, and that’s all I can divulge for now."
