Buzz is that the ‘Student Of The Year’ young star Varun Dhawan has bagged a venture which will be produced by blockbuster producer Ekta Kapoor.

Thanks to his striking performance in his debut movie, the Balaji Production head apparently got so impressed with his acting skills that she felt Varun should be given a chance under her production banner.

According to Ekta in an interview, Varun carries all the qualities which a Hindi hero should need - that is he acts good, comfortable with humour, dances well and is a hit among youth, especially girls...

Calling him the young Salman Khan, Ekta further justified that an established actor wouldn’t be able to get the youth whereas Varun being the young generation star will attract both metro and small towns."Besides Ranbir Kapoor, no other young actor is being emulated. Varun will surely be the next," quoted Ekta in the interview.

But guess who will be directing the promising actor? It’s none other than his very own, daddy dearest David Dhawan. Incidentally the film will be remake of a hit Telugu movie, the rights of which Ekta said to have bought for two crores!

The film will have two leading ladies and the project most probably will go on floors in few months.
