Chiyaan Vikram had a mediocre 2018, as he had two releases - the Vijay Chander directorial Sketch costarring Tamannaah, and the Hari directorial Saamy Square, which was the sequel to his 2003 blockbuster Saamy, both of which met with a lukewarm response at the box office.

Nevertheless, the actor is currently busy with his 56th movie, the action thriller Kadaram Kondan directed by Rajesh M Selva of Thoongavanam fame, and on the other end, the second hero from his family, Dhruv Vikram, is all set to strike screens as well, with his debut Varmaa releasing soon.

The Bala directorial is the official Tamil remake of 2017 cult Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy, and stars debutant Megha Chowdhury as the female lead. While the teaser released months ago had met with a good response, now, the trailer of Varmaa is all set to be launched by Bala's Nandha, Pithamagan hero Suriya, on January 9. Varmaa is expected to hit screens on Valentine's day.
