Ajith Kumar and Thalapathy Vijay the two biggest icons of Tamil cinema in the current generation have unwittingly given rise to one of the biggest ever fan battles social media has ever witnessed. Their respective fans love them so much that they cannot take even a wee bit of negative comments about them and never tire to argue about it days together.
Who is the bigger star among the two is a million dollar question as there is a constant seesaw at the box office and the neutral fandom which makes one depend on statistics alone which is likely to be unreliable. Anyway at this time where a digital revolution is at its peak a box office clash of the titans will surely put to test their might.
We already reported to you first that Boney Kapoor the producer of Ajith's 'Thunivu' is eyeing Pongal 2023 to release the much awaited action entertainer. On the other hand Dil Raju the producer of Vijay's 'Varisu' made it official several months back that the film is a Pongal 2023 release. Trade analysts however dismissed the possibility of a clash since it could prove detrimental to both the films commercial prospects leave alone the law and order situation that might arise with both Ajith and Vijay fans arriving at theaters together.
Now actor-producer R.K. Suresh owner of Studio 9 has tweeted that 'Thunivu' is a grand Pongal 2023 release. Since he is also one of the leading film distributors this announcement cannot be taken lightly. Looks like neutral fans may get to watch Ajith and Vijay films clashing at the box office and enjoy both on the same day.
'Varisu' directed by Vamshi Paidipally has Rashmika Mandanna pairing with Vijay for the first time with Thaman scoring the music. 'Thunivu' is directed by H. Vinoth with Manju Warrier playing the female lead and Ghibran scoring the music.
