Thalapathy Vijay's new movie 'Varisu' has been in shoot mode continuously ever since the project went on floors in April this year. News has broken out that the shooting has come to a sudden halt shocking Thalapathy Vijay fans.

The current schedule of 'Varisu' was happening in Hyderabad when director Vamshi Paidipally reportedly fell ill due to exhaustion. According to Tollywood sources doctors have adviced him complete rest for a week as he has been working day and night nonstop for several weeks. The shooting is set to resume in another week's time.

'Varisu' has music by Thaman and is produced on a large scale by Dil Raju under his banner Sree Venkateswara Creations. The ensemble cast includes Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, Prabhu, Jayasudha, Sarathkumar, Khusbhu, Yogi Babu, Sangeetha, Shaam, Srikanth, Samyuktha, Prakash Raj and S.J. Suryah. The team has planned to release the film worldwide in theaters on Pongal 2023.
