Thalapathy Vijay will soon be seen in Varisu, which has created a fair deal of buzz among his fans. The film is said to feature the mass hero in a new avatar. Now the makers have released a new action-packed poster and also confirmed the release date.

The new poster of the film features Vijay flaunting an intense look with a hammer in his hand and goons in the background. The picture is expected to be a scene from one of the fight sequences from the film. The new poster has made Diwali double special for all his fans.

Varisu is an emotional entertainer that features Vijay in a new avatar. It is directed by Vamsi Paidipally, who is best known for directing films such as Yavadu and Maharshi. Varisu's screenplay is jointly penned by Paidipally, Hari, and Ahishor Solomon.

The film stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. The cast also includes R Sarathkumar, Prabhu, and Prakash Raj, among others. The film's music is composed by S Thaman. The film will hit the theatres on Pongal 2023.
