Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' directed by Vamshi Paidipally and costarring Rashmika Mandanna is a true blue multistarrer with several big names attached. One of the costars of Vijay in the film is veteran Telugu actor Srikanth who is said to be playing the elder brother of the hero.

Rumours started spreading in a section of Telugu media that Srikanth and his wife of 25 years actress Sivaranjani aka Ooha are heading for a divorce. Srikanth slammed the reports saying "Who is spreading such silly gossips? It has been reported by some cheap websites and worthless YouTube channels that I am facing severe financial troubles. They are adding that I am getting divorced from my wife."

He added "In the past, it was rumoured that I am dead and gone. The fake news caused much distress to my family members. And now this. The fake news about our divorce reached my wife through her friends. She got nervous upon reading the news. We are currently in Tamil Nadu on pilgrimage. At a time like this, insensitive and obnoxious rumours are bothering me,"

Actress Sivaranjani who debuted in Kannada later acted in several Tamil films opposite top heroes Vijayakanth, Kamal Haasan, Karthik,Prabhu, Aravind Swamy and Prashanth among others. She then hit instant stardom in Telugu cinema right from her debut movie 'Aame' in which Srikanth played the male lead. The couple fell in love and later got married in 1997 and have three children Roshan, Medha and Rohan.
