"Don't typecast women filmmakers as those who can make only emotional films. They are skilled enough to handle any subject," says filmmaker Madhumitha.

She started her career with a family-drama in 'Vallamai Tharayo'. The movie received a mixed response from the audience and critics. And now she has completed 'Kola Kolaya Mundhirikka', a laugh-riot.

"Though I look at it as a challenge and ensure that the genre of each of my movies is different, my sole aim is to entertain," she says adds: "Kola Kolaya Mundhirikka would sure tickle the funny bones of the audience. Dialogues by Crazy Mohan are awesome." The film features Karthik in the lead role.

On choosing a comic subject, Madhumitha says, "After completing 'Vallamai Tharayo', I realised that there are many serious and emotional issues around us that bring stress to our life. Hence I chose a light-hearted subject for my next film."
