Actress Varalaxmi has had two releases in two consecutive weeks. First Vikram Vedha' in which she has played a North Chennai Housing board girl and this week it is 'Nibunan' in which she has played a cop. Varu's performance in both the films have been appreciated by fans as well as critics.

The 'Tharai Thappattai actress continues doing versatile roles. Her next release will be 'Sathya' with Sibiraj. Again she is playing a cop in this film. Apart from that she is acting with RK Suresh in 'Vargam' and her future projects include 'Sandakozhi 2' in which she will be reportedly seen in a negative role opposite Vishal. Varu will also be seen playing the lead heroine in 'Kadhal Manna' with Vimal .

With such diverse films and characters in her kitty, the daughter of Supreme Star Sarathkumar is poised to act in a heroine-centric film at such an early stage of her career. If sources are to be believed, Varu will play the solo main lead in a film to be produced by Kalpataru Pictures. The same banner is currently producing 'Chenanyil Oru Naal 2' with Sarathkumar in the lead role.

Top league heroines like Nayanthara and Trisha have started acting in heroine-centric films and now Varu will be joining the league.
