Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is going to be seen in a pivotal role in 'Yashoda'. While Samantha Ruth Prabhu is its lead actress, Varalaxmi's character is no pushover. She has got a role with a flashback in it. The story, penned by the Hari-Harish duo, is filled with twists involving her character as well.
Ahead of the thriller's release, we caught up with Varalaxmi and asked her about Samantha's autoimmune disorder Myositis. Reacting to the news, the 'Krack' and 'Naandhi' starlet said, "She is a fighter, she is a survivor. And she will come out stronger."
"When the movie was in the making, the disorder was not yet diagnosed as far as I know. Maybe, she had it by then but we didn't know it or how she was coping with it. She didn't fall sick during the shoot. I think it got worse only after the shoot of 'Yashoda' was over. She is recovering fast. She will recover," Varalaxmi said.
The two actresses were good buddies on the set of 'Yashoda'. Sam is not going to participate in the film's promotional activities, as she is undergoing treatment currently.
Also starring Unni Mukundan, Sampath Raj, Rao Ramesh and others, 'Yashoda' hits the screens on November 11.
