Kamal-Sripriya’s outing in ‘Neeya’ which hit the screens on 1979 is still remembered as a forerunner of of horror movies in Tamil in addition to the fact that it became a raging hit upon its release. Currently ‘Neeya 2’ is getting readied with Jai essaying the lead role for which director Suresh is wielding the megaphone.

Varalaxmi who has been bold in chosing scripts essays the role of a snake woman for this movie (think Sripriya in ‘Neeya’). Jai could be reportedly seen in two different looks in the film. Following the shoot in Pondicherry, the ‘Neeya 2’ tream will continue to shoot in Thalakonam, Chennai, Madurai, Kodaikanal as well.
