Veteran hero Sarathkumar who at 68 is so fit that he looks like someone in his forties and will give younger heroes a run for their money any day. He is currently starring in a number of new movies in lead roles as well as supporting characters.

Earlier today, Sarathkumar along with his daughter Varalaxmi Sarathkumar paid a visit to Superstar Rajinikanth at his Poes Garden residence. He shared photos of their bonding and wrote ' What a better way to start my day..meeting #rajini sir personally to thank him for his elaborate appreciation of my character in ponniyin selvan " Periya Pazhavettaiyar".

Sarath added about his senior contemporary "Friends catching up over coffee..discussion at length about my work, varu's work and views on life in general.. thank you sir for spending almost an hour with us discussing our future projects and the growth of our industry...thank you for having us over.."

Post the tremendous success of Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan', Sarathkumar is starring in a number of films including Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu', Raghava Lawrence's 'Rudhran', 'The Smile Man' and 'Nirangal Moondru'.
