In a shocking turn of events, a mother and daughter who had come to witness the shooting of a movie starring Varalaxmi Sathkumar, were killed in an unexpected accident, leaving the whole unit worried. The accident had happened during the shooting of a Kannada movie.

Chiranjeevi Sarja, Action King Arjun's relative is a well known star in Sandalwood and he is currently shooting for his next movie Ranam, which also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as the female lead. The Shooting of this movie was progressing at Bagalur in Bengaluru, and an action sequence was being shot.

During this sequence shot near Shell Petrol station, many people had gathered around to witness the shooting, and the team canned a car blast sequence. However, the gas cylinders placed to generate fire during the action episode blasted, and a woman and her daughter who had been there to watch the shooting got killed in this freak accident. Bangalore police rushed to the spot, and sent the two bodies for postmortem, and are investigating the case.
