The gory gang rape of an eight year old girl Asifa in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua has stoked widespread outrage and protests. Important political members, activists and even stars from the film fraternity have been condemning the act and voicing out for justice vehemently.
Actress Varalaxmi is one actress who has been very actively registering her opinions on the issue. Her latest post in her social page poses a question to none other than the Prime Minister of the country himself. “This is the world we live in... enough is enough #DeathPenaltyforRape @narendramodi is this the kind of country u want to lead..?” she stated.
Apart from this, she alo strongly impressed upon the need for the implementation of death penalties for rape crimes. Here’s her tweet below:
Are u F**king kidding me..??? This is the world we live in... enough is enough #DeathPenaltyforRape @narendramodi is this the kind of country u want to lead..?? Be the leader people thought u are when they voted.. pass the law #DeathPenaltyforRape https://t.co/Otgt7lgud6
