Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar is not ready to takes things easy just because she hails from an influential family. She is so careful about her career- as an actress and as a musician- and says her father never interfered in her decisions.

“After patiently waiting for a year, I am now getting ready to share the screen space with Silambarasan for ‘Podaa Podi’, directed by Vignesh. I was very much impressed by the script, which the director narrated me frame-by-frame,” she says.

Saying the film is going to be an energetic rom-com, Varalaxmi adds she was waiting for a script like this. “Because I was very particular that my first venture should be a very meaningful one,” she reveals the reason.

Happy about the success of his first musical venture ‘Mamma Mia’, the young girl says she is now working on her next musical production, titled ‘Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcot’. “I just love music,” she signs off.
