Actress Varalaxmi seems to be on a roll with back to back projects lined up with her latest addition being a part of Thalapthy Vijay’s ‘Vijay 62’. With more than 10 films to work on the professional front, she somehow finds time to engage in social activities as well. Phew! Some time management skills she has!

But here is the interesting tidbit about one of her upcoming films. Interestingly titled ‘Velvet Nagaram’, newbie Manoj Kumar is wielding the megaphone for this project. The screenplay is touted to have significance for the female role and it is also worth noting that the film is based off a true incident that happened in Kodaikanal. Varalaxmi plays the role of Usha who fights for the cause of tribals in that region and the film will be an action-based psychological thriller.

The music for the film is being scored by Achu Rajamani of ‘Urumeen’ and ‘Yaanum Theeyavan’ fame and Makers Studio is bankrolling this exciting project.
