Last week we had reported that the shooting of director Bala`s Tharai Thappattai` has been wrapped up. But the film`s heroine Varalakshmi is yet to bid adieu for the film`s technicians and has been actively taking part in the post production work apart from dubbing for her character.

When we enquired about that it is revealed that Varalakshmi who plays a dance artist in this film is also working as an Assistant Director under Bala for Tharai Thappattai`. Sources further claim that the veteran filmmaker is mightily impressed with Varu`s work as an AD and her interest in all aspects of filmmaking. He has also reportedly predicted that the chirpy girl will soon direct a film.

Varalakshmi who debuted with Poda Podi` that released in 2012 is yet to have a release as Madha Gaja Raja`, her film with Vishal has been shelved. Thara Thappattai` would be her next release as an actress in Tamil (She had acted in Kannada super hit film Maanikya` in the meantime). After Tharai Thappattai` Varu has signed as the lead lady in a cop thriller film directed by Arun Vaidhyanathan that would have Arjun and Prasanna.

When is she going to wear the director`s hat? We will have to wait and watch.
