The very name Varalakshmi Sarathkumar conjures up images of not only beauty but boldness as well. The outspoken actress in an exclusive interview to us shared that her next release 'Velvet Nagaram' has her playing a journalist and the screenplay has four different stories converging into one which would be a new movie viewing experience to fans.

Varu stated that she likes to be in control of her life and does not care about other people's opinions. She pointed out that people question her addressing Radhika Sarathkumar as aunty to which her response is that yes she is definitely not her mom but they both share a close bonding. The 'Sarkar' antagonist stated that she is very happy that her father Sarathkumar and Radhika are a happily married couple and that he is also a good father to Rayane a daughter of Radhika through a previous marriage.

Varu once again shared that she has experienced casting couch episodes in her life and her advice to all aspiring actresses is to say no when approached even if it means that their career would take off a little later than to others who say yes.
