Actress Varalaxmi the daughter of veteran actor Sarath Kumar tested positive for Covid 19 despite taking precautions and following COVID safety protocols. The actress took to her social media to inform her fans about the same and urged them to wear masks at all costs.

"Covid Positive..inspite of all precautions..actors plz start insisting on masking up the entire crew bcos we as actors cant wear masks.. Those who have met me or been in contact with me plz watch out for symptoms and get checked.. Plz be careful and mask up..covid is still here, (sic)" she wrote on her social media pages.

In the video, she posted, Varu looked dull and her voice suggested that she had a sore throat. She also urged fans to take care and mask up, stressing that the threat of COVID is still around and not to take it lightly.

On the work front, she was last seen in the movie, Iravin Nizhal in which she played the role of Premakumari, a godwoman who is a confidante of Premananda, a fake godman, played by Robo Shankar. She will next be seen in the movies, NBK 107, Yashodha, and Hanu Man.
