Vijay Srihari is Vanitha's eldest son born to her and actor Akash whom she divorced several years back.

Vanitha also has two daughters Jovika from her first marriage and Jaynitha from her second marriage to Aanandaraj who she also divorced a few years back. Post the popularity Vanitha gained from her no-nonsense attitude displayed in the 'Bigg Boss 3' hosted by Kamal Haasan, she is busy with several television projects and is also in talks to do movies as well.
