For close to a month the controversy that is raging in the media is actress and Bigg Boss star Vanitha Vijayakumar's marriage to Peter Paul that happened on June 27th. The very next day Paul's first wife Elisabeth lodged a police complaint that the couple are not divorced yet and that she and her two children want him back. Celebrities Lakshmi Ramakrishnan, Kasthuri, Ravindar and Nanjil Vijayan have continued to speak on various media in support of Elisabeth.

Elisabeth in a video message has apologized to Lakshmi Ramakrishnan for the verbal abuse she suffered at the hands of Vanitha Vijayakumar. She has stated that she is feeling guilty that the actress had to be humiliated when coming in support of her and her family.

Elisabeth has said that whether Vanitha Vijayakumar apologizes to the senior actress she feels it is her duty to dos so. Lakshmi has responded "#Elizabeth is apologising though she did nothing wrong, she feels bad that she put us in trouble! Kasthuri also has added "Neither does Feminism/ empowerment doesnt mean disrespecting other women."
