Vanitha Vijayakumar the outspoken actress and television personality got married to Peter Paul an alleged filmmaker on June 27th in a Christian ceremony. To her utmost shock the man's first wife Elisabeth Helen filed a police complaint stating that she has not divorced him and the marriage is illegal.

After facing public backlash including from Kollywood celebrities, Vanitha stood her ground and tried to get on with Paul and her two daughters from previous marriages. There were reports in the media after producer Ravindar Chandrasekharan posted on FB that Vanitha beat up her life partner and threw him out her house.

Vanitha in her latest video has clarified that indeed there is trouble in her private life and as many including Elisabeth and her son told the media Peter Paul turned out to be an incorrigible alcoholic.

According to Vanitha, Peter was consuming alcohol unknown to her and suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized, and when she tried to contact Elisabeth and her son they did not respond. After recovering in spite of doctors' advice Peter had once again smoked a lot and had to be hospitalized again and Vanitha had to shell out fifteen lakhs to get him on his feet.

During the family's trip to Goa, a message had gone to them that Paul's stepbrother was serious and he had once again started drinking and according to Vanitha the man disappeared after reaching Chennai. After the death of his brother, Paul had relapsed into alcoholism and has now refused to get back to her house.

Vanitha has rendered an apology to Elisabeth Helen that if she had hurt her in any way she is sorry for that and could now understand to a certain extent what she should have gone through with Peter's alcoholism.

Vanitha has also suggested to Helen to try and reunite with Peter Paul and that she will not interfere in their lives and on the contrary she had infact spent money to get his health in shape.
