Vanitha Vijayakumar was embroiled in controversies in the year 2020 when she married Peter Paul an alleged filmmaker on June 27th in a star hotel. The marriage was conducted in the Christian style but the very next day Paul's first wife Elisabeth filed a case that she had not divorced her husband and it was illegal for him to wed again.

After four months Vanitha announced that she had split from Peter Paul after realizing that he is an incorrigible alcoholic and also was into self-harming by drinking too much and she had to save him a couple of times admitting him to the hospital and footing the bill of lakhs of rupees.

A lot has been going on for Vanitha Vijayakumar ever since the festive Pongal festival started. On Bhogi day when old things are burned and new things replace them she announced to her followers that she is burning the bridal dress she wore when she married Peter Paul.

Vanitha wrote on her Insta page "Burnt all the negativity cheating and lies I went through in 2020...the white dress i always wanted and that never was ... deleted 2020 like it never happened...starting afresh...ctrl alt delete...bhogi 2021....POSITIVITY SUCCESS AND HAPPINESS"

Vanitha had also tattooed Peter Paul's name on her arms but has not changed the design to a Chinese word which she also showed off to her fans who welcomed her move in the comments section.

Meanwhile there was one more reason for Vanitha to celebrate as her younger daughter Jonitha attained puberty and she shared a photo of her wearing the traditional dress.
