Vanitha Vijayakumar clarifies about Peter Paul's first wife police complaint

Actress Vanitha Vijayakumar married filmmaker Peter Paul on June 27th according to the Christian custom with her two daughters serving as bridesmaids. The wedding was a simple but happy occassion with a close circle of friends and relatives in spite of the coronavirus lockdown.

Meanwhile we brought you the news earlier today that Peter Paul's first wife Elizabeth Helen has lodged a police complaint at Vadapalani that Peter has remarried without divorcing her. She also stated in her petition that they have two children and are estranged for seven years.

Vanitha in her clarification exclusively to us has stated that Paul's first wife is raising the issue for money and is demanding one crore rupees but both she and her husband don't have that much money. She added that Elizabeth has in fact separated eight years back and her complaint after the wedding is just a ploy for extortion and she and Paul would handle the issue legally.

Vanitha further added to us that she is very happy after her wedding and in fact expected trouble from her side but was initially shocked by the complaint but is taking it in her stride.
