Vanangaan is the Collaboration of Suriya with Bala after 11 years. The duo had previously collaborated for Nandha (2001) and Pithamagan (2003). The actor and his 2D Entertainment production banner released the first look poster of the film on the occasion of Bala’s 56th birthday.
Krithi Shetty of Upenna fame is all set to make her Kollywood debut through this film. The young actress has already impressed Telugu fans in the films like Shyam Singa Roy opposite Nani and Bangarraju opposite Nagarjun.
Mamitha Baiju in pivotal roles. Other details regarding the cast are currently kept under wraps. The film, which is being made on a big budget, has cinematography by Balasubramaniam and music by G V Prakash.
Art direction is by Maya Pandi and editing is by Sathish Surya. The first schedule of the film, which lasted 34 days, was completed successfully in Kanniyakumari, and the second schedule of 15 days was shot in Goa. Sources close to the unit say the film's plot will be completely different from the plots of films like Suriya's 'Nandha' and 'Pithamagan'.
