Actor Vijay's Varisu is one of the most anticipated movies of 2023. The film is directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations. In a recent interview, Vamshi opened up on how Thaman has composed music for this film.

"Taman has made music with his whole heart. We are sure Vijay sir fans will celebrate. It will be a complete album for Vijay Sir. With the Thaman-Vivek combination, the songs have come out wonderfully. His lyrics are amazing. He has already done 'Mersal' for Vijay sir. I have listened to the songs written in 'Bigil' films. Vivek has also given his input for the movie's dialogue," said Vamshi in an interview.

Rashmika Mandanna, best known for her role in Pushpa, plays the film's female protagonist alongside Thalapathy. Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Khushbu, R. Sarathkumar, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, Yogi Babu, Srikanth, Shaam, and Shivaji Guruvayoor also feature in the movie in supporting parts, while Mahesh Babu makes a brief cameo.

It's been reported that the producers intend to release the film in Hindi dubs in addition to Telugu and Tamil. The film's pre-release business is expected to touch Rs. 275 Cr. Varisu will hit the theatres on Pongal 2023.
