'Valmiki', starring Varun Tej and directed by Harish Shankar, will release on September 13. 14 Reels Plus has announced this new release date in the wake of 'Saaho' coming on August 30. They wanted a two-week gap.

Producers Ram and Gopi Achanta are happy with the way the action-comedy is shaping up. Kollywood actor Atharvaa Murali has the next most important role after the Mega hero's. Pooja Hegde and Mrunalini Ravi are playing the heroines.

"We are done shooting many crucial episodes," the producers say. The screenplay is by Madhu Srinivas, and Mithun Chaitanya.

If music is by Mickey J Meyer, the fights are by Venkat. Ayananka Bose is the cinematographer. Art direction is by Avinash Kolla. Editing is by Chota K. Prasad.
