Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham marks the debut of Santhanam as a hero; this comes after the actor has climbed his way up the industry as the most sought comedian actor of current Tamil Cinema. The movie is being directed by yet another comedian Srinathand this movie is a remake of Rajamouli's Maryada Ramana, which saw comedian Sunil climb his way from a fun n frolic to an action hero! 1. TakkaruTakkaru Like all other commercial hero's, this movie also looks to have an introduction song for our hero Santhanam amidst all pomp and trumpets. The song gives you a whiff of Vijay, Ajith and Simbu feel for its projection, the way the loudness and masala is injected. Mukesh vocals gives the perfect setting for a mass hero introduction, and there should be plenty of scope for dance. 2. Oh OhNadhigalOda Two of the most happening singers are in the lot: Shreya Goshal and Naresh Iyer, and they both create magic with the vocals in this melody. The song starts off easily the mellow sweetness of Shreya slips through seamless rhythm. The vocals from the lead singers are much consolation to a varied duet that lingers through the interludes with innovation. The usual romeo Juliet lolly pop song no doubt, captivates by some fine singing. 3. OtraiDevathai Heroine worship is not something new in Kollywood, and here comes yet another intense number from Karthik, who frees his crystal clear throat for a heartfelt number. The song is the usual kind with pinches of melody and carries on with its energetically flowing orchestration. Madhankarky's as usual twirpy lyrics brings the mood of the song. 4. Chellakutti Santhanam is emerging as the commercial star, and no wonder a folk song with full of kuthu and masala. Ranjith has crooned the song with high energy decibel levels, no doubt at all with the trumpets and bass level at its best. That said, there is nothing remarkable at this song, which looks to be enjoyed more with the usual than to sit back and listen through your ipod. 5. VaadaPaaMappilai Yet another song, that has a composition to boost your energy level. Newbie Anandhu has done a fair job, but going by the tunes and lyrics it should be a better off track with visuals for the motivation is in the air. Verdict : A commercial album, one for the visuals ! |
