The majority portions of the shooting of Thala Ajith's magnum opus, 'Valimai' is over and the team is looking forward to resuming work for the remaining bit once the lockdown ends and permission is given by the government.

Even though the official updates on 'Valimai' have not been forthcoming, news about the project is always the topic of debate among netizens. According to a report in a recent interview director, H. Vinod has shared that due to the coronavirus, several actors above the age of 60 opted out and he was forced to reshoot the portions with others. This was also a major reason for the undue delay of the film.

He is also said to have stated that some portions of 'Valimai' have to be re-shot since the continuation to a few locations is not permitted due to the pandemic now. Yes, however, revealed that the team is keen to wrap up the remaining portions and can't wait to show the brilliant film to Thala fans.

'Valimai' directed by H. Vinod and produced by Boney Kapoor has Thala Ajith and Huma Qureshi as the lead pair with Yogi Babu and Karthikeya in important characters. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music while Nirav Shah is handling the camera.
