Ajith's 'Valimai' is all set to hit the screens on February 24 in both Telugu and Tamil. The trailer for the Telugu version is out.
Right off the bat, we are treated to Ajith's slow-motion walks and exploits in Vijaywada, where a gang has been planning murders from jail. The action-packed mass masala flick also has sentimentality at its core. 'RX 100' actor Kartikeya Gummakonda is an unsentimental villain who takes on the might of the hero, a misadventure that is fated to backfire.
Ajith plays a daredevil cop who believes that the police don't have the right to take a life. He is against fake encounters, so also the perverted logic that poverty drives poor people into the crime world.
Director H Vinoth has shown imagination in every way possible. The scene shifts to Vizag, where a youngster's murder has been called a suicide. Bikers are on the loose and the gang is dreaded. It's up to the investigator in the hero to nab them.
Dhilip Subbarayan has choreographed the stunts. Also starring Huma S Qureshi, Bani, Sumithra, Achyunth Kumar, Yogi Babu, Raj Ayyappa, and Pugazh, the film is produced by Zee Studios and Boney Kapoor. With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, its cinematography is by Nirav Shah. K Kadhir has done the action choreography. Editing is by Vijay Velukutty.
