The much hyped Ajith starrer 'Valimai' was released yesterday February 24th with massive response from fans and the public audiences. The film is said to have taken the biggest opening ever in the history of Tamil cinema inspite of mixed to negative reviews.

Many critics and fans opined that the close to three hours run time of 'Valimai' is a major detterent. Looks like the team has taken notice of this grouse and have decided to get into action. It has been reported that 14-minute footage has been removed and effective from Saturday the 26th audiences will get to watch a much crisper version.

'Valimai' is directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor with music score by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Nirav Shah. Ajith, Huma Qureshi, Karthikeya and Sumithra are the main cast.
