To say that fans of Ajith have been growing impatient over an update on the star's upcoming movie Valimai would be an understatement. The actor's fans have managed to flood the comments section of the movie's producer Boney Kapoor at every opportunity they have had. A picture from the sets of Valimai which was released yesterday went viral minutes after it surfaced online.

Meanwhile, Boney Kapoor's latest tweet has especially brought out a varied range of reactions from fans ranging from exasperation to disappointment. "3 hours from now #NewYearWithVakeelSaab," posted Boney Kapoor, who is producing the Telugu remake of the Bollywood movie Pink, starring Pawan Kalyan. The tweet garnered over 2000 comments in less than 30 minutes. The shooting of Valimai commenced earlier this year but came to a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic. After 8 months, the shooting resumed and is currently in progress at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. A statement from Ajith's side regarding the constant demand for an update was released recently. "To those who ask Valimai updates. Ajith got injured on the sets, but he is determined to complete the film without any delay. Ajith and an experienced producer like Boney Kapoor will sit together to decide regarding Valimai updates and would announce them at the right time. Please wait for the updates and respect their decision," the statement read.

Valimai, directed by H Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor, also stars Huma Qureshi, Karthikeya, and Yogi Babu in pivotal roles. The cinematography is handled by Nirav Shah, while the music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
