Sathuranga Vettai 2 is an upcoming heist film directed by Nirmal Kumar and written by H. Vinoth. It is a spin-off to Vinoth's Sathuranga Vettai (2014) which emerged as one of the best movies in Tamil cinema. The film features Arvind Swamy and Trisha in the lead roles.

Vinoth earlier narrated the script of the sequel to actors Ajith Kumar and Suriya but neither venture materialised. Actor Manobala, the producer of the original film, came forward to produce Sathuranga Vettai 2. Vinoth parted with his script because he was busy working on Karthi's Theeran, so Nirmal Kumar of Salim fame was signed on as director.

The thriller was mired in financial issues and the release became doubtful. The official word is that the long-delayed project is now gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release in January 2022. Mr Mouttou Sambandam of Onsky Technology Pvt. Ltd has now acquired the rights of Sathuranga Vettai 2. The title is co-produced by Cinema City.

Apart from Arvind Swami and Trisha, Sathuranga Vettai 2 boasts of powerhouse performers like Prakash Raj, Radha Ravi, Nassar, Chandini, Sreeman, Manobala, Kumaravel, E.Ramadoss, and many more promising actors. Ashwamithra is scoring music while KG Venkatesh cranks the camera.
