Ajith Kumar's 'Valimai' which was expected to enthrall audiences on Pongal 2022 has been postponed indefinately due to the third wave of the COVID 19 pandemic. All the formalities for the release including the procuration of the censor certificate has been made.

Shockingly for an Ajith film the censor board has ordered 15 cuts including muting in 'Valimai' before awarding it a U/A certificate. The cut list shows some excessive use of violence, profanity etc. The runtime is also on the higher side at 179.26 minutes.

'Valimai' is directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor with Nirav Shah handling the camera,Yuvan Shankar Raja the songs and Ghibran the background music. The film stars Ajith, Huma Qureshi, Yogi Babu, Sumithra and Karthikeya.
