'Vakeel Saab': High Court intervenes, says ticket prices can be hiked

It's known that 'Vakeel Saab' has been prevented from selling tickets at hiked prices in Andhra Pradesh through a government order a day ahead of its theatrical release. This has resulted in distributors recovering less-than-expected figures on Friday, the courtroom drama's first day at the box-office.
The news is that the Andhra Pradesh High Court has issued an order staying the government's order. The next hearing will take place on Monday. In the intervening period of two days, exhibitors can legitimately charge hiked prices on tickets.
In what has been termed as a relief for distributors and exhibitors, the HC on Friday evening said that ticket prices as deemed fit by the stakeholders can be charged for now.
Earlier, the HC had said that trade bodies concerning the Telugu film industry have to be included in the committee which decides the quantum of hike. However, as per the plaintiffs, the government acted unilaterally.
There has been a hue and cry over the YCP government allegedly targeting 'Vakeel Saab' for political reasons.
