Soon after the First Look of 'Vakeel Saab' was unveiled on Monday evening, it came in for criticism from sections of social media users for whom cinema comes before star vehicles.

Their major grouse has to do with the fact that the First Look doesn't care about the female characters of the Summer release. It's exclusively about Pawan Kalyan, whose swag is splendid but where are Nivetha Thomas and the other two actresses?

"Contrast this with how 'Pink', the Hindi original whose remake 'Vakeel Saab' is, conceived its First Look. Besides Big B, Taapsee Pannu and the other two female actors were seen in it. Ajith is a big star in Kollywood. The FL of 'Nerkonda Paarvai' (Tamil) was on similar lines. Yes, there were solo posters of Big B an Ajith, but they came in later. The title 'Vakeel Saab' is just about its male lead. 'Pink' and 'NP' were not like that by any stretch of imagination," a commentator says.

Call it surprising or otherwise, the makers are yet to officially announce the names of Nivetha Thomas, Anjali and other female names in the movie. It is assumed that the plan is to make an announcement on March 8, which is International Women's Day.

Directed by Sriram Venu, the courtroom drama will hit the screens on May 15.
