Title - Vajrakaya, Producer - Dr CR Manohar, Direction - A Harsha, Music - Arjun Janya, Cinematography - Swamy J, Cast - Dr Shivarajakumar, Shubra Ayyappa, Nabha Natesh, Karunya Ram, AVinash, Suman, Sadhu Kokila, Jayasudha, Madhu Guruswamy, Ravi Kale, Padmaja Rao, Chikkanna, Vijayanand, Kuri Pratap, Tanuja, Manjunath Gowda, Karan, Lekha Chandra - guest role - V Ravichandran, Shiva Karthikeyan, Ravi Teja, Dilip.

Famous for his dance direction A Harsha reaching heights from film to film as director has done brilliant piece of work in ‘Vajrakaaya’. He remains darling to all section of audience. The screenplay with twists and turns although reminds his ‘Bhajarangi’, the sentiment portion here is value addition with neatly and tidily handled narration. What is the net result of ‘Vajrakaaya’? Harsha has increased his responsibilities for his next film. The mix of entertainment values at regular interval and flashback format of narration gives wonderful feeling. The quiet and happy beginning, stunning revelation, search for true mother, struggle after finding mother, the hell bent nature of protagonist Dr Shivarajakumar to win everything from love and affection is the need of the hour. Veeraj (Dr Shivarajakumar) in a family of brother, sister is a lucky son as the business establishment flourished in his ability.

He is also aware that he is an orphan. When the issue of his marriage proposal comes up, the shock opens up for Veeraj. His step father (Avinash) in the hospital reveals the background of Veeraj. Veeraj decides to reach the far of place of his ancestors ‘Chambal Kanive’ that is in fact ruled by his cruel Huzoor (Madhu Guruswamy), none other than his grandfather. He finds his mother isolated in the huge bungalow. The system and culture of this place is very strange. What changes that Veeraj applies from his do good nature is eye opener for the people living under the arms of his grandfather. In this place Veeraj not only unite with his mother (Jayasudha) but also wins a chirpy Pataki Parvathi (Nabha Natesh). Shivarajakumar looking well fit has danced brilliantly for Tamil actor Dhanush song ‘Yakamma Nagthiya Strong Itthu Nan Body Heegaithu Nin Nodi.., two more songs of this 50th film of music director Arjun Janya are in top gear.

In action and sentiments Dr Shivarajakumar is immaculate. Nabha Natesh conquers the heart from her dashing role. She is like wind, while Shubra Ayappa is serene and Karunya Raam is tearjerker and timid. Madhu Guruswamy in two shades of father and grandfather has shown his ability. Avinash, Ravi Kaale gets a soft role that touches heart. Jayasudha as mother performed with great ability, Sadhu Kokila, Jahangir, Silli Lalli Anand are OK in comedy track. Action portions are superb and editing is also crisp and tidy in this 145 minutes ‘Vajrakaaya’. Arjun Janya - No Problem... (One of the song lines) has won in melody and peppy mixture. Swamy J as cameraman could have avoided the dust in the air especially in the song where Tamil actor Shiva Karthikeyan, Telugu actor Ravi Teja, Kannada actor V Ravichandran, Malayalam actor Dilip, Harsha director and choreographer plus music director Arjun Janya appear in dance number - a title song. This is worth watching.

Score - 7.5/10
